For more than 15 years, Lattelecom has been working in the sphere of data center services. In the course of development of this activity, as well as in order to ensure the quality of services and the availability of Lattelecom services for more customers, an operator or open data center will open in mid-September. Both local and foreign telecommunications companies, mobile operators and Internet service providers will be able to locate their infrastructure, and establish connections with other operators.
Thanks to experience, competence and a wide range of experts, data center clients are not only Latvian but also Russian and Ukrainian enterprises that have already evaluated the service quality, individual approach to customer requirements and reliability of Lattelecom services. Currently, Lattelecom owns five data centers, of which the Dattum DC is the first and the most secure data center in Northern Europe, certified by TIERIII and PCI DSS standards.
The operator's DC was developed in accordance with the highest standards of security, providing for continuous operation and availability of systems, as well as monitoring them 24/365. To ensure compliance with high standards, power supply of DC is provided by two independent electrical cables, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and a diesel generator operating in automatic mode. Telecommunications services are provides using the Lattelecom backbone network - with two independent backbone optical cables. At the same time, DC provides both an opportunity to purchase the services of other telecommunications operators, as well as the ability for other operators to lay their optical cables and create their own infrastructure.
